DO NOT give your pet any heartworm medication until he/she has tested negative for heartworms. Please wait until you hear from our office before starting any heartworm preventive.
Sadly, any pet testing positive for heartworms is a serious medical condition that should be treated appropriately by a qualified veterinary medical professional. Please have your pet seen by a full-service veterinary clinic ASAP. Contact our clinic if you need a referral or list of Veterinary clinics that will be able to assist you with your pet's healthcare.

It is important to remember to give your dog his/her monthly heartworm pill because a missed dose could potentially be fatal to your dog. If you happen to miss a dose, Give the missed dose immediately, stay on your regular heartworm prevention schedule, and retest for heartworms in 6 months if it's been more than 6 weeks between missed doses.
Have your furry friend seen immediately by a full-service veterinary clinic if you have further questions regarding your pet's healthcare.
Yes, most states, including North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia require rabies vaccinations for all dogs, cats, and ferrets over the age of 4 months. The first rabies vaccine should be administered between 12 and 16 weeks of age, and the vaccine must be kept up to date throughout the animal's life. Failure to comply with this law can result in fines and other penalties. Please check with your local Animal Control to find out requirements if you have additional questions.
